2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Review: Best All-Around Civic

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid has a clear target for the Toyota Prius. Starting with the outside, the Civic Hybrid looks like any other trim which isn’t a bad thing. One of my biggest dislikes is when hybrid variants change their styling so drastically for the sake of MPGs that they simply look ugly. If you prefer the hatchback variant, don’t worry, you can also get it with the hybrid drivetrain. The 7-spoke 18” wheels offered a nice design different than your more typical 5 or 6-spoke designs. The matte gray color on the wheels also paired well with the Blue Lagoon Pearl paint.

Getting in, this Civic Hybrid was spec’d with the gray leather option with a premium feel to it. I did enjoy the seat positioning that allowed me to sit really low. What I did enjoy the most was blasting my music using wireless Apple CarPlay and out of the incredible sounding Bose sound system. The ergonomics of the interior allowed me to feel comfortable and take the Civic on long roadtrips.

Under the hood, the 2.0L inline 4-cylinder hybrid, delivered a combined 200 horsepower and 232 lb.-ft. of torque. Although the power gets sent to a eCVT, it can get the Civic moving. If the Civic offered an AWD version, it would cut even more Prius sales. The biggest thing that the Civic has over the Prius, is its excellent chassis to build off of.

Overall, I could easily see myself owning a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid. The big space despite it being a compact car, the high MPGs despite having more power than the sportier Si, or the seemingly normal styling despite it being a hybrid variant, it is safe to say the hybrid is the best all around Honda Civic.
