2025 Chevrolet Traverse High Country Review: Spacious 3-Row

After the couple days of the Chevrolet Traverse media drive, I was hoping to get a loaner to review. The loaner I got was the 2025 Traverse High Country in the Lakeshore Blue Metallic color. Although I was loving the Stardust Metallic, I can understand that its not for everyone which made the blue color a little more subtle but still unique enough to stand out. Although the 22” high gloss wheels are massive, they fit this 3-row SUV really well. With this being the High Country, the front fascia had chrome finishes to it.
Getting in, the Sky Cool Gray leather seats were comfortable and offered heating and venting. The big infotainment screen was nice to navigate my phone via wireless Apple CarPlay. One of my biggest complaints about 3-row SUVs is that they’re either uncomfortable 3rd row seats, or the cargo area is nonexistent. The Traverse doesn’t suffer from that, as the 3rd row seating is comfortable and cargo area is plentiful for a grocery run.
Under the hood, the previous generation’s V6 was swapped for a 2.5L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder. The 328 horsepower and 326 lb.-ft. of torque was enough to get the front wheels to spin. First gear from the 8-speed auto did seem a bit long and required that the rpms climb a bit before it shifted to 2nd gear. Other than that though, the power delivery was nice and linear despite it having a turbo.
Overall, I was loving the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse High Country. After driving it for a week, we’ve been considering it as an upgrade to our personally owned Chevy Trailblazer. The added size was great when my parents visited and my family of 5 fit comfortably in it.
