2022 Ford Bronco Everglades Review: The Water Bronco
Growing up in South Florida, I was very familiar with the Everglades. When I received the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades, I was a little bummed out about being in drought stricken Texas. Either way I was ready to have some fun in the fifth different Bronco that I’ve driven. I thought the Eruption Green color was the perfect choice for the Everglades trim till I saw that there is a grey slate that makes color choice difficult between them. The indicators of the Everglades trim is the front factory mounted Warn winch and the side fender Everglades topography map. Add the passenger mounted snorkel which helps prevents water from entering the engine.
Opening the door, the Bronco Everglades is equipped with marine grade vinyl seats. This will make cleaning your muddy seats extremely easy. It’ll also help if you accidentally spill your drink. Having the rubberized floor will also help with being able to hose it down and have the water go out the built in drain plugs. This Everglades was also equipped with a slide-out tailgate which is perfect to sit and enjoy nature or as a food prep table.
Under the hood, the only engine available with the Everglades trim is the 2.3L 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine. It’s a shame that the larger V6 isn’t available but the 10-speed auto does help with making the most out of the smaller engine’s power.
If you’re wanting to go from the dealership to the swamps, the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades is what you’ll want. After driving different trims, it’s hard for me not to go with a better trim offering and go aftermarket for the Everglades items. The main thing I wish the Everglades had is the V6 and the 360 camera system.
