2021 Jaguar F Pace SVR Review: Big Cat Bigger Power

Sometimes a car company has to build SUVs to help fund other models that are more of a passion project. The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR is a combination of both. Let's take the SUV and build an extreme version of it. The segment is becoming more and more popular and has some tough competition. It’s the evolution for a 2-seater sports car owner who needs more space, but still wants to have sports car performance.

The SVO Premium Paint option costs a hefty $4,550 and it is honestly worth every penny. The orange stood out and was easy to attract everyone’s attention. The SVR body kit in black also helped add nice accents to the jack-o-lantern color theme.

When you open the door, you’re greeted with race car inspired alcantara wrapped bucket seats. The door opening to get in did seem small for a SUV and had me getting in like if it were a sports car. Once you’re in, be sure to lay off the tacos and bbq because the seats are not for wide framed figures.

Under the hood, the 5.0L supercharged V8 outputs 550 horsepower to get the big SUV moving more like a cheetah than a jaguar. The roar from the exhaust made you think this jaguar was more of a lion. It was incredible how calm the Jaguar F-Pace could behave when in Eco mode to help with fuel consumption. Switch it over to Dynamic mode, and the F-Pace was ready to move.

Overall we were extremely impressed with how nimble and practical this sport SUV was.
