2025 Genesis G80 Review: Executive Styling, Performance Driving
Riding in the 2025 Genesis G80 gives you an executive level feeling. The Vatna Gray color gave the G80 a classy look with some depth in the color. The black chrome grille gave it a subtle bling to the exterior while the updated headlight design showcased a futuristic looking array of cube shaped LEDs. The G80’s 20-inch 5-spoke wheels have a great design with scalloped pattern on them. When you look at the side profile, you can see that it has a shape similar to the Audi A7 but I think in a better executed way.
Getting into the G80 is an experience as the finishes are extremely high end. The sporty Sevilla Red interior wakes up your visual senses. Trimmed with carbon fiber, microfiber suede headliner, and brushed metal finishes, they managed to make it all work together. You’ll get heated, ventilated, and massaging in the incredibly comfortable seats. I was surprised when I had the heated option on and suddenly felt my right arm get nicely warmed up by the heated console armrest. With 27” of OLED screen being shared between the gauge cluster and infotainment screen, everything was clear, bright, and didn’t obstruct your visibility.
Under the hood, the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 delivered smooth and abundant power. The rear wheel steering was the biggest surprise at the end of my loan period. I had been driving the G80 in a relaxing matter and I was doing it all wrong! When I got to my performance part of my filming, I was surprise to feel how good the engine, AWD drivetrain, and rear steering had worked to get the G80 turned with an abundance of confidence. Then again I shouldn’t have been surprised considering the G70’s in RWD configuration has one of the best rear differentials I’ve experience during mid corner turn in.
Overall, I would highly recommend the 2025 Genesis G80. What I loved most about the G80 was it’s ability to offer an executive feel but can still offer a surprising raw driving experience which is rare to experience in the segment.
