2022 Jaguar F-Type Review: British Racing Green Perfection
If you’re going to get a 2022 Jaguar F-Type, you’ll definitely want to get it in British Racing Green. That’s exactly what showed up for me to play with for a week. The side profile shows a familiar design to its E-Type ancestor. The hidden door handles also add to the sleek side profile design. You also want to add the outside black trim option to help accentuate the BRG color.
I was surprised to see that the brakes sported plain faced disk and not the usual performance cross drilled or slotted option. What surprised me even more was how well they performed. The 20” wheels were wrapped in sticky summer performance tires to help point the F-Type as you command it.
You open the door and the tan interior should almost be a requirement with the BRG exterior. The seats were extremely comfortable and held me in place during some spirited g-forces. You’ll want to opt for the 12-way adjustable seat to help find the perfect positioning. The steering wheel ergonomics were excellent sporting some raised buttons that helped identify their positions and allowed me to keep my eyes on the road.
Under the hood, the 5.0L supercharged V8 had one of the most amazing rumbles coming out the quad tipped exhaust. Not to worry, this big cat can be tamed by turning off the loud button. Thankfully my neighbors enjoyed the rumble so it stayed on all the time.
Overall I was impressed and enjoyed my week with this big cat. At the end I realized that this car is too much fun to have a roof and recommend going the topless route.
