SVRA at COTA 2019
We may sound like a broken record but it’s always a treat when SVRA comes to Circuit of the Americas. It always puts a smile on our faces when we see some incredibly historic cars be driven hard on the track. It’s one thing to see them at car museums or car shows, but hearing them reach their redline is an awesome experience.
One of the most iconic sounds comes from the roaring V8 under the hood of the multiple Ford Shelby GT350s that race at the event.
Of course it doesn’t get more iconically Ford than the GT40. Even though we have some doubts on it’s authenticity, we’ve been told from multiple sources that it indeed is a true GT40.
The weekend is also shared with different types of vehicles. The open wheel cars bring some great racing action and have a variety of designs.
One of my favorite vehicles to see are the vintage NASCAR cars taking some right turns through the esses. Maybe this is a sign of future things to come at COTA.
Unlike a broken record that can annoy as it repeats the same thing, I welcome SVRA to repeat the same great event that they put on every year.
