2024 Lexus ES 300h Review: Elegant and Simple

The 2024 Lexus ES 300h was parked in front of my house and although I prefer sports cars, this sedan change my state of mind. The Caviar black color sparkled so much that it had me considering breaking my rule of no more black cars. I was willing to consider the maintenance headache that usually comes with black paint since the pearl finish on it, made it shine. The black chrome colored wheels added some bling with class.

When you get in, the Palomino semi-aniline leather and Open-Pore Brown Walnut trim added beautiful touches of luxury. I wouldn’t normally go with lighter colored leathers because of maintenance, and the seats were already showing signs of jean’s dye rubbing off on the bottom of the seat. The walnut trim was one of my favorite examples of wood trim since the open pore aspect lets you enjoy the feel of the grain. The tech in the ES 300 is simple and to the point so don’t expect anything revolutionary and thankfully anything confusing.

Under the hood, the 2.5L hybrid 4-cylinder only produced 215 horsepower. It may not be a lot of power but the ES didn’t have me wanting more power. I was so relaxed driving the ES and because of that, the MPGs was the number that was surprisingly high. I did try getting the lowest possible MPGs by accelerating quickly at every stop sign and red light. No matter what I tried, I was able to still get over 40MPG!

Overall, the 2024 Lexus ES 300h had me wanting to retire to Florida and just drive for miles in the most relaxing way possible.
