2022 Kia Carnival Review: The Multi Purpose Vehicle
The 2022 Kia Carnival is labeled as a MPV or Multi-Purpose Vehicle. It is honestly a marketing term to not call it a mini van. The Carnival does have mini van vibes with a SUV twist. With this being the SX Prestige trim, the Carnival looks better than its entry level trims. The biggest improvement is the larger 19” wheels that add to a more sporty or modded vehicle.
The headlights on the Kia Carnival are extremely small in size but they had great light output. The high beam design blends in with the incredibly unique grille design. The Astra Blue color was somewhat confusing as it shined more like a green tone. It had a combination of greens, blues, and purples in the paint which reminded me of those color shifting paints.
Opening the door greets you with a beautiful colored leather named Tuscan Umber. It is definitely a sign that Kia wants to be seen as a more luxury capable brand. The seats didn’t just look beautiful, they were also comfortable enough for a cross country road trip.
The amount of tech that Kia has added to their vehicles has made them extremely appealing. The large infotainment screen makes it easy to read and navigate. The screens behind the front seat kept my kid entertained every time we went for a drive. One of my favorite Kia features is the use of the cameras in the mirrors when you use your turn signal, to make sure you can see your blind spot.
Overall we were extremely impressed with the 2022 Kia Carnival and really enjoyed this Multi-Purpose Vehicle.
