2021 Ford F 350 King Ranch Review: Off Roader with Cowboy Luxuries

The 2021 Ford F-350 King Ranch barely fit in my driveway at 250 inches long! Even though it’s extremely long, the F-350 was one of the easiest trucks to drive and even park. It seemed to have a better turning radius than the F-150 that we’ve reviewed in the past. The camera system also made it easy to make sure you weren’t going to hit anything and park it perfectly. The Antimater Blue color pairs well with the bronze two tone option.

This F-350 was outfitted with options to work and play. The large 35” wheel and tire configuration makes tough terrain a lot easier to manage. Should you need help or to help others, the 12,000 lb, Warn winch not only looks cleanly installed, it also means business should you need it.  The Tremor suspension raises the F-350 to make approaching climbs a breeze. You’ll want to definitely option the front headlights with the optional LED as the standard lighting was extremely poor. The other thing I would change is the off-road side steps with their deployable step option. It’ll suffer a bit in side clearance but you’d gain more with making entry and exit a lot easier.

After you’ve taken a big step to get into the Ford F-350, you’ll be rewarded for the effort. The King Ranch trim adds a luxurious cowboy treatment to this otherwise off road towing monster. The Java leather looks incredible and is comfortable with seats that have both heating and vented options. The wood trim on the doors also add to that luxury cowboy treatment. I would’ve liked the larger Sync 4 system I’ve experienced in the other Ford trucks to allow wireless Apple CarPlay.

Under the hood, I found where the additional $10k were added to the base price. Honestly, the 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Diesel option is well worth the price tag. With it delivering 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque, the traction control was busy and successful at making sure I didn’t run out of talent. You’ll want to go diesel if you’re needing to tow up to 20,000 lbs.

After having the 2021 Ford F-350 King Ranch for a week, I was sad to see it go. I was surprised that despite its size, it was really easy to drive and park. It was fun to get the boost going and get the big guy going. The interior was also incredibly comfortable and spacious.
